What did you want to be when you grew up (when you were little)? In high school? Now what do you want to be?
I was never quite sure what I wanted to be growing up it was always changing anywhere from being a teacher to starting my own business. One thing was always constant though and that was that no matter what I was doing I wanted to help people. This is why being Vice President of Community Service was such a good fit for me; I feel like I have the power to actually make a difference in peoples lives and that is a really good feeling.
Favorite Food: Tacos, pizza, and brownies
Other extracurriculars: running, drawing
Favorite event from and/or thing about DSP:
My favorite event that I ever did with DSP is going with brothers to work at Cedar Point for a weekend. I was just a pledge at the time and I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to hang out and get to know brothers. Even though it was a lot of work I had a really great time and I got to connect with the brothers that went and made some lasting relationships. This is also what I love about DSP is that you have a support system full of people who are very accepting and excited to invite you into the family that is DSP.
Favorite thing about Grand Valley:
My favorite thing about Grand Valley is the people that I have met here! Grand Valley is unique in the way that the people that go here for the most part are friendly and very geniune. I have met my best friends here and I am so glad I decided to come here.
Why did you join DSP?
I joined DSP because a friend of mine from work had joined and he kept bugging me and buggine me about this amazing businness fraternity that I just had to join. I kept putting it off and finally decided to pledge in the Fall semester of 2018. Turns out he was right and I am so glad I made the decision to join DSP because I have grown personally and professionally and met some amazing people in the process.
Why did you choose Grand Valley?
I choose to go to Grand Valley because I had some friends that went here and they were alwasy talking about how amazing it was. I love Grand Valley because its small enough to be personable, my professors know my name and I can always get help from them. Also, it’s a beautiful school with the best people.
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
In ten years I want to have a successful career in Finance, and maybe even be starting a family. Overall I just want to be happy, life is always going to have its ups and downs, but if you aren’t happy doing what you love why do it?
