What did you want to be when you grew up (when you were little)? In high school? Now what do you want to be?
When I was little, I always wanted to be an artist. I got into the business club (DECA) in high school and that steered me toward getting a business degree. I’ve always liked numbers, so I think business is a good fit but I wanted to continue being creative, so I added an art minor and have taken some graphic design classes!
Favorite Food: French fries & donuts
Other extracurriculars: I am also a part of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and I work as an HR intern.
Favorite event from and/or thing about DSP:
The new friends that you make, leadership opportunities and getting exposed to a bunch of different events to attend!
Favorite thing about Grand Valley:
Probably the campus life! I loved seeing my friends walking around campus freshmen year, the tailgates, meeting up with friends on campus, etc.
How did you learn about DSP? My coworker was in DSP and told me about it, so I went to Campus Life night and a Meet the Chapter event and ended up pledging!
Why did you join DSP?
To make new friends, build my resume and gain professional experience.
Why did you choose Grand Valley?
The business school was really the reason why I chose Grand Valley. I had actually decided to go to Hope College, but their business school was smaller and they didn’t have a marketing major, so I decided that Grand Valley’s large selection of classes, new buildings, etc would be better!
Have you ever studied abroad or gone further than the Americas?
I travelled to Greece last summer on vacation, and also studied abroad in London for a month and went to Paris and Belgium on that trip as well!
Favorite Movie/TV Show: Bourne series, Transformers
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
Have a family and work in a creative marketing role.
Brooke's Dog, Murphy!
