For anyone reading this who isn't in the Lambda Xi chapter, or is still relatively freshly initiated from last semester, have you ever wondered just who makes up the full eboard? For some general information about our eboard and the individual bio pages, you can click here. However, we thought it might be nice for some of our board members to re-introduce ourselves to the new brothers of our chapter, as well as individuals who may not know us at all. So, here is your Winter 2020 eCommittee:

President
Andrew Jackson

(really, no pun intended)
Andrew also currently sits as our chapter's VP of IM Sports, since he loves to get the chapter involved in as many campus activities as possible! He pledged in Fall 2017, when he was a Freshman, and has been a model brother ever since!

He has attended several national DSP events, and is a huge advocate for being as involved as a brother can! In fact, attending such events are his favorite part about being in DSP!
Picture
Andrew's main job is to act as chief officer of the chapter, and to ensure that everyone is acting in accordance with the Fraternity's bylaws, as well as serve as our chapter's delegate at national events!

Vice President
Kira Osterdale

Kira's main responsibility is to help the president, as well as run all semester recruitment activities to make sure that the chapter has new brothers to induct and be the future of the Fraternity. She works closely with the VPPE during the first third of the semester, and then works with all chairs to ensure that all chapter events are followed through in an appropriate manner and brothers and the board in any way she is able.

Cancellor
Sabrina Miller

"I'm in charge of initiation and running the meetings, but also risk management and inter-fraternal relations. What I've learned most is, obviously, speaking in front of people. I have never been the best at putting myself out there, but doing it in front of people who know, love, and support you is the best way to practice. Talking through brothers' feelings have also taught me to be a better listener and that most people just want to have their feeling heard, rather than just be right."

Sabrina's favorite food is Uccello's, and her favorite thing about DSP is the social events, where we all get to meet in a casual setting and just hang out! You can also follower her cat on Instagram @chillcatotis!

VP of FInance
Sarah Bette

Sarah's main job is to maintain and overview the chapter's bank account, and oversee any transactions that come to and/or from the chapter. Whether it be brothers paying for their letters, dues, or social outing fees, she sees that the chapter is paid in full. She then helps decide where those funds get allocated throughout the chapter.

VP Of Chapter Operations
Cassidy Lewis

Cassidy's main job is to ensure that all Lambda Xi brothers get their required points to continue to be invited back to the chapter, as well as see that we reach our chapter goals via our national website.

She also takes our meeting minutes during both chapter and board meetings, and encourages everyone to come to committee meetings, even if they aren't on the board!

Cassidy also likes to help with our chapter's initiation, and plays a large role in making sure that that goes smoothly.

VP of Pledge Education
Elizabeth Henderson

Elizabeth is a crucial role in the future of Delta Sigma Pi, especially when it comes to the Lambda Xi chapter. She is in charge of educating each semester's pledges, so that the chapter is replenished with a group of bright individuals who want to further their professional lives.

She is excellent at what she does, and has made sure that we have outstanding individuals coming into our Fraternity, and it is safe to say that the future of the chapter is better because she has been our VPPE.

VP of Fundraising
Ahren Sempert

Ahren's job in the chapter is to go out into the community and see where brothers can raise money for the chapter to help cover fees brothers may encounter, or help fund trips the chapter takes.

Although he was newly inducted into this role, he is very excited to come up with some new ways for brothers to raise money for the entire chapter!

VP of Professional Activities
Brooke Harper

Brooke's main responsibility is to plan professional events for the chapter. This includes anything from professional presentations from professors to tours of local businesses, so that brothers can explore options and see what is in our own college community, and see what interests us after college. Also, her events help us ask professionals lots of questions about their post-college careers, and how they get to their position.

VP of Community Service
Jaclyn Selewski

Jaclyn's largest job of the chapter is to look into the community to see where the Lambda Xi chapter can help. She has involved the chapter in some amazing events, including helping design Halloween costumes for wheel bound children, helping children get active with the 3 Mile Project, and making cards for the elderly. Jaclyn is a perfect person for this position, and we couldn't imagine anyone so dedicated to helping the community.

"Hi! I'm a double major in marketing and human resource management. I work for a search engine optimization company as a marketing intern downtown, and I'll be graduating in December 2020."

Picture
"I am incredibly grateful for the support and excellent experiences I have had so far with the chapter, its e-committee, and its Alumni while serving in my position and I intend to build upon my current growth to reach my goals for the future."

VP of Alumni Relations
Ryan Gross

"According to the official Delta Sigma Pi website, 'the Vice President-Alumni Relations role includes both maintaining the chapter’s ties to Fraternity alumni, and also preparing chapter members to make the transition to active alumni members after graduation'. This fancy description means I am in charge of keeping in touch with Alumni and making sure that current members become active alumni once they get their degree.

"This position and our Alumni have taught me the importance of listening to and valuing unique perspectives and experiences, how our past and current environments shape us, and that success comes from motivation, devotion, planning, a supportive network, and some luck. It has also improved my collaboration and professional communication skills, due to the close contact with business professionals. This ties into how supportive and inspiring the entire chapter and Alumni Network has been for me as well, which motivates me to continue working hard for them."

VP of Scholarship and Awards
Bridget foehl

Bridget is in charge of executing Brother of the Month awards, and distributing academically well-performing brothers small prizes as a "Good Job" for their hard work during each semester. She is also in charge of overseeing who submits scholarship applications to the national board, and help in any way she is able within that process.

VP Of Marketing
Rio Weilkum

Rio's main job is to create marketing for the chapter, as well as create designs for shirts and chapter merchandise. She does all of this with the help of other brothers, to ensure that we all get the name of Delta Sigma Pi onto the rest of GVSU's campuses.

She is also is responsible for maintaining a professional social media appearance for the chapter.

Social Chair
Lauren Trombly

Lauren's job is to plan all of the chapter social events, including our Formal in March! She is an excellent event planner and has picked some incredible events such as fowling in Grand Rapids and hayrides in Allendale. Her goal is to make sure that every person in the chapter has some an event they are very excited about, and to make Formal an amazing evening for every brother!

Web-Master
Emma Potter

"My main roles can be broken up into three categories: tech support, Weebly guru, and blogger. All jokes aside, though, my main role is to ensure that all information on the chapter website is up to date, and that it all serves a purpose to brothers, alumni, potentials, pledges, and parents. Essentially, anyone who could possibly need to know anything about our chapter, it is my job to make sure that it can be found on our website."
"This role has helped me develop leadership roles, and also has given me the freedom to learn more on my own about web development, as well as visual appeal and writing. I've genuinely learned a lot through the other board members, past Web-Masters, and my chapter in general. I am forever grateful for the editors that help me write the blog posts and everyone who gives me feedback on the website, in general.

"While being in this position, I intend to create something of intangible value to the chapter, and create that foundation for the next Web-Masters. This has been my goal with everything I've put into the Fraternity, but especially with the website."
