The pledging process is 7 weeks long.
During the 7 weeks, Seidman College of Business students will work with their pledge class to complete all requirements of the pledging process in order to be initiated into Delta Sigma Pi.
The pledging process is outlined by the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi and is then specialized to fit each individual chapter.
Pledges will have the opportunity to campaign for and hold positions within their pledge class.
Each pledge class will plan at least one event for each of our pillars:
Weekly pledge meetings will be held on Monday nights at 9:15 pm in the Seidman College of Business in downtown Grand Rapids.
Pledges are expected to familiarize themselves with the national fraternity's history and operations by taking a weekly quiz.
Each pledge is required to "interview" all active brothers in the Lambda Xi chapter to get to know them.
"Big Brothers" (male and female) are paired with each pledge to assist the students in the successful completion of the pledging process.
During the pledging process, students are able to get a sense for how the Lambda Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi can benefit them personally, professionally, and socially.
Since the chapter was formed in 1986, over 500 Seidman College of Business Students have successfully completed the pledging process and are now official members of the international fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi.
